Origin

Qijiang tea is produced in the town of Yitan, Guizhou. Located in the north of Guizhou Province, Qintan County has a mild climate, abundant rain and fog, fertile soil, loose structure, rich mineral content, and extremely favorable growth of tea trees. Zhangtan tea has a long history. Lu Yu of the Tang Dynasty, in the world’s first tea monograph “Tea Sutra,” has a discussion about the fact that Tantan can not only produce tea, but also has a beautiful tea taste. In the Song Dynasty, tea was recorded as a tribute. Nowadays, there is a large-scale tea farm and a rural tea garden dotted around the country. There is a tea institute in Guizhou Province that was founded in the late thirties.

The Tantan Tea Plant is located in the urban area of ​​Zhangtan County in northern Anhui. The Lancang River flows through the entire territory of the town of Litan. Three sides of the water, a beautiful scenery, the two sides of the tea mountain connected, known as the reputation of tea township. The texture of the banks of the Minjiang River is excellent. The soil is deep and fertile, loose and moist, mostly acidic or slightly acidic sandy soil. The climate is mild, rainfall is abundant, the annual temperature is around 15°C, annual rainfall is between 1100 and 1200 mm, and the air is fresh. Clouds and haze, summer without heat, winter without cold, rain and heat in the same quarter, warm and wet festival. Tea gardens are 750 to 1,200 meters above sea level, with a large temperature difference between day and night. In addition, the annual sunshine rate is relatively low (below 35%), scattered light is more, light and the effect is gentle, tea leaves will not suddenly thicken and grow old, and leaves buds will remain tender for a long time. It is conducive to the formation and accumulation of nutrients such as aromatic substances, proteins, amino acids, caffeine, vitamins, and tea polyphenols in tea.
