Due to the spatial and temporal variations in soil properties, the following technical measures must be taken to control sampling errors in order to ensure the representativeness of soil samples:

Scientifically divide the sampling unit: Before sampling, the soil type, fertility level, and topography of the sampling area should be understood in detail. The study area should be divided into a number of sampling units. The soil of each sampling unit should be as uniform as possible.

Ensure sufficient sampling points: In order for the mixed sample to represent the soil characteristics of the sampling unit, a sufficient number of sampling points must be guaranteed. The number of sampling points depends on the size of the sampling unit and the consistency of soil fertility. The sampling depth and sampling depth of each sampling point should be uniform, and the ratio between the upper and lower layers of the soil should be the same.

Use a reasonable sampling route: According to the "random" principle of sampling, generally using the s line of cloth sampling, can better overcome the errors caused by farming, fertilization. In the case of small changes in topography, relatively uniform ground forces, and small sample cell area, plum-shaped spot sampling can also be used.

Avoid special parts: The distribution of sampling points should be as uniform as possible, avoiding special parts such as fields, trenches, and heaps.
