Microscope is a kind of precision optical instrument commonly used in biological teaching experiments. It consists of mechanical system and optical system.

The mechanical system includes: a barrel drive portion, a rotating portion of the objective lens, a stage, a conversion portion of the tablet holder and the shutter, a rotating portion of the frame and the base, and the like.

The optical system includes: an eyepiece, an objective lens, a condensing mirror, and a mirror.

Maintenance and maintenance:

(1) Overall maintenance: The microscope should be placed in a dry, cool, dust-free, non-corrosive place. Immediately after use, wipe it clean, cover it with a dust-proof venting cover or put it in a box.

(2) Maintenance of mechanical system: After use, wipe it with a clean cloth and regularly apply some neutral grease to the sliding part. If there is serious pollution, it can be washed with gasoline and then dried. However, do not wash with alcohol or ether, as these agents can corrode machinery and paint and cause damage.

(3) Maintenance of the optical system: After use, gently wipe the lens of the eyepiece and objective lens with a clean soft silk cloth. When there are smudges that cannot be wiped off, use long-fiber absorbent cotton or a clean cotton cloth to wipe off some dimethyl or lens cleaning solution (3 parts alcohol: 1 part ether). Then dry it with a clean, soft silk cloth or blow dry with a blower. It should be noted that the cleaning solution must not penetrate into the lens of the objective lens, otherwise the objective lens will be damaged. Condenser (except for XSP-13A and 16A models) and the mirror can be wiped clean after use.
