Identification and Control of Fusarium Wilt of Cucumber

Cucumber fusarium wilt can occur on open soil and cucumbers in protected areas. Generally, greenhouse cucumbers, greenhouse cucumbers, and exposed spring cucumbers occur more severely, and summer and autumn cucumbers occur less frequently.

The disease mainly harms the rhizomes, and usually begins after the flowering of the plants. The damaged plants initially showed that some of the leaves or plants on one side of the leaves wilted drooping at noon, appearing as water-deficient, gradually increasing with the increasing number of wilting leaves. Strains. If the seedlings become infected, the cotyledons turn yellow and then the whole plant withers. Prevention methods are as follows:

I. Agricultural control

1. Use resistant varieties. Such as Tsubasa 2, 3, 4 and Zhongnong 5 and so on.

2. Seed disinfection. Soak the seeds in warm water at 50°C for 20 minutes, remove and dry them and sow. The sterilizer was soaked in 40% formalin 150 times for 1.5 hours, rinsed and germinated.

3. Rotation. Non-guaranteed crops should be rotated for more than three years. After 2 to 3 years, the seedbeds should be exchanged or replaced with new soil.

4. Improve cultivation management. Water control before squashing, in order to promote the growth of roots, squash period appropriate watering more fertilizer, and later need to control the watering. After pulling, the leaves of fallen plants are transported out of the fields and buried deep or burned to reduce pathogens; high ridge cultivation is encouraged, drainage in the field is smooth, and soil water content is low, which can control the occurrence and epidemic of the disease to some extent.

5. Do a good job of bed soil disinfection. The soil was plowed and flattened 5 days before sowing. Formalin 250-300 ml per square meter, 15-20 kg of water evenly sprayed, and then covered with plastic film 4 to 5 days.

6. Grafting and disease prevention. The use of black seed pumpkin as the rootstock grafting is an effective method to control fusarium wilt in cucumber.

Second, chemical control

Before the planting, use thiophanate-methyl or carbendazim and other agents, and compose the soil with a ratio of 1:100. Apply the medicine in an amount of 1 to 2 kilograms per acre and spread it in the planting ditch to prevent and treat it.

After onset, it was irrigated with 400 times solution of thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim and other pesticides, and irrigation was conducted once every 8 to 10 days. The diseased plants were found to be removed in time, and the above-mentioned drugs were used to disinfect the diseased hole to control the spread of the soil.
