"Osmanthus" is the main source in China There are 32 species in the world and there are 27 species in our country. Osmanthus is one of the genus Osmanthus, and China is also the center of the distribution of laurel trees. It has more than 2,000 years of cultivation history. It is also the country with the most varieties of sweet-scented osmanthus in the world. Nearly one hundred cultivars of osmanthus have been found, among which there are many rare and rare varieties, and “Chinese Longgui†is one of them. Qsmanthus fragrans CVZhonghualonggui shrub, about 3m high, grows vigorously. The branches naturally bend and form a "wandering dragon." Leaves long elliptic, nearly lanceolate, average length 8.2cm, width 2.9cm; apex pointed, slightly ascending to the back; leaf margins serrate, base cuneate: new shoots reddish purple, petiole purple after turning green . Does the laurel tree become a "colonial" coincidence?
China is both the birthplace of sweet-scented osmanthus and the hometown of "Dragon." "Dragon" is a symbol of China, a symbol of authority, power, and a symbol of prosperity and hope. What is significant is that the “creator†has such “ingeniousnessâ€: it created the “Chinese Longgui†on the land of China, giving it a mysterious and far-reaching implication.
Art is a "mortal" creation
Chinese people have different styles and styles for bonsai modeling: Yang School, Su School, and Chuan School. Chuanpai's "three branches with one bend", the "two bends with half", the "three bends with nine bends" and so on. No matter which genre you can't leave, you can't leave the artificial "bend." For a successful bonsai work, the author must first of all have a very artistic cultivation and superb craftsmanship. He must carefully design, ponder, twist, bend, and create a few years or even decades before it can be completed. The "Chinese Longgui" does not require artificial distortion, and naturally creates a "curved" road. It is like a "driving dragon" (Figure 1 - two-and-a-half-year-old tree age), becoming a fun-loving art object.
"Tiangong" is also a genius
The sprouts of the “Spring Longgui†spring shoots (including summer and autumn shoots) after lignification, when the tender purple flowers are 10-15cm in length, the lower part of the buds turns to white, and they begin to soften as “wilting†and drooping. 2). The drooping shoots were affected by the effect of the terminal dominance, and the tops grew again in the opposite (upper) direction (Fig. 3). The shoots gradually turned green, and the turn turned from white to gray-brown, tending to lignification, stereotyping The formation of a natural "dragon body." "Dragon body" near the turning point can be further divided into new shoots and new shoots (Figure 4). After the tender shoots are established, they form a new dragon; some new shoots and the first half of the elongated shoots are at an angle. When appropriate, it can reproduce a few changes (Figure 4). Therefore, some branches have two bends, and some have "three bends and nine bends". A few years later, the leaves of the "Dragon Body" fall off and appear as "naked dragons" (Figure 5). For more than four years, the Chinese Long Guifang can display a world of “dragons†of different shapes: from “Longlingâ€, there are “dwarfs†with “red heads†and “multiple infantsâ€. The "Jackie Chan" of varying sizes and the "Laolong" are naked. From the standpoint of view, there are "Dragon" that "goes out to the sky", "Dragon" that "looks down", and "Dragon" that runs into the sea. The "dragon" of the "leaving" between leaves "clouds" is not present, and each "longhua" tree has its own unique features. These "dragons" are more varied and witty, all of which are masterpieces of nature. Of course, "Chinese Longgui" does not rule out that enthusiasts should prune and shape people's creative ideas to make them more personalized and become their favorite art.
Recently, we have discovered a new mutation in the Chinese dragon--a variant of golden shoots. The other biological characteristics are roughly the same as the former. We need further observation. We call it "Golden Dragon" for the time being; we call the "Red Dragon" the former (purple twig). This also shows that while the organism has stability, it also shows its variability and diversity, showing the "genius" of "Heavenly God" and the "wonderfulness" of nature.
China has great hope! The wonderful "Chinese Longgui" will also have great promise. It is a very promising breed.
