The results showed that Venus Rex rabbits had strong fertility, and the survival rate of pups was high. The growth and development were fast and the body weight at 180 days reached the superior standard. The size of adult size had reached or exceeded the legal system and the German Lex rabbits. Its body size is comparable to the German and French Lex rabbits. 3 Discussion 3.1 The breeding performance of Venus Rex rabbits has been significantly improved compared with before breeding (incidence of births increased by 0.52, 35-day-old weaning weight increased by 73 g, weaning survival rate increased by 5%), indicating that Venus Rex rabbits have Good reproductive performance. 3.2 Compared with the existing domestic Lex rabbits, the growth intensity of the rabbits from weaning to 6 months old Venus Lex is significantly greater. The current domestic level, 6-month-old body weight in the 2.5-3.0kg, and Venus Lexus rabbit has reached 4.04 kg, indicating that at this time when the market, Venus Lex rabbit skin grade should be significantly higher than the domestic general level. 3.3 The size of the original Chinese Lex is small (about 3.0kg) and the quality of the coat is degraded. The adult weight of the selected Venus Rex rabbit is significantly increased, from the original 3.0kg to about 4.0kg, and some more than 5.01kg. Its coat quality also improved significantly, and hereditary stability. In view of the fact that the size of the rabbit is more than 5.0kg, the coat has a tendency to become sparse. In the future, when Venus Lexus first breeds, it will no longer pursue the pursuit of "special size". Based on the above, it can be seen that Venus Lexus has strong reproductive ability, high survival rate, and large body size that has reached or exceeded the level of introduced rabbits.
