Grape using photorespiration

Increase the sugar content of grape fruit

Grapes are high-light breathing carbon-like plants, and light respiration consumes almost 40% to 50% of photosynthetic products. Especially in the summer, the photorespiration is sharply increased due to the increase of temperature, and this is the critical moment of fruit sugar growth, which seriously affects the accumulation of photosynthetic products and affects the quality of grapes. Therefore, proper inhibition of light respiration of the leaves can reduce the consumption of photosynthetic products of the leaves and significantly increase the sugar content in the fruits. According to our experiments, the photorespiration inhibitor sodium bisulfite not only improves the fruit set rate of the Kyoho grape, but also has a good effect on the quality, yield and maturity of the fruit. In order to improve the quality of the fruit, 300 mg/kg of photorespiration inhibitor is sprayed once every 7-10 days after fruit enlargement, and continuous spraying 2-3 times can achieve obvious results. It should be noted that sodium bisulfite can be mixed with other pesticides and fertilizers, but it should never be mixed with herbicides. The spraying time is preferably 8-11 o'clock in the morning or 15-18 o'clock in the afternoon after the dry dew is dry.

In order to improve the fruit setting rate of grapes, it can be used to spray 500-700 mg/kg of sodium bisulfite one week before the flowering, the first flower and the full flowering period, which can significantly improve the flowering fruit setting rate.
