Microwave surgical ablation can be performed in conjunction with valve or coronary artery bypass surgery, or during minimally invasive surgery alone. The new system is the first system specifically designed for minimally invasive, unilateral surgery, with patients undergoing surgery recovering more quickly and less pain from rib expansion surgery.
